When Recode launches as a separate rebuild, models and kits will change, so treat these lists as living advice for the current game — not a forever meta. Jump straight to the Titan tier list if you already own a protocol, or open the unit tier list before you burn Resources on a banner.

How we rank for legacy TCU

We score picks on four questions:

1. Can the unit clear Easy without babysitting?
2. Does it still carry Hard Mode and longer Boss Rush waves?
3. Does it have a clean role in Denver or niche boss fights?
4. Will the investment still matter after you read Recode migration?

S-tier means the kit solves multiple modes without exotic support. A-tier means strong with a partner or a specific map. B-tier is situational. Below that, the unit is a collector flex or a trap for beginners. Banner advice on the unit page overrides raw rarity: a Mythical from a beginner-friendly Genesis banner often beats a flashy Standard Camera pull.

Titans vs partner units

Titans are player-controlled giants summoned through the golden toilet protocol at map center. You cannot field two of the same titan, and a dead titan stays locked until the match ends. Their kits are slow, high HP, and built for map control — see the full breakdown on the Titan Trio page. Partner and playable units (UTCM, Astro Polycephaly, UTTV armada summons, banner Mythicals) fill the roster around them. Elite playables like UTCM and Astro Polycephaly sit closer to titan power than to Common Camera fillers.

If you are brand new, do not open Standard Unveiling the Shadow or Echoes of Rebirth first. Start with beginner banners called out on the units list, redeem codes for Resources, then learn movement in the getting started guide.

Modes that change the ranking

• Easy Mode — ten waves, G-Man 1.0 finish. Almost any recommended beginner Mythical works. Focus on learning controls instead of chasing Titans.
• Hard Mode — longer fights and harsher bosses. Prefer high HP playables, screen/laser sustain, and the Hard Mode solo route.
• Boss Rush — twenty-seven waves. Cooldown discipline and Battle Mode uptime matter more than peak burst.
• Denver — niche map pressure. Titans with AOE screens or hooks climb here; glass cannons fall.

Recode will reshuffle this hub

FStudio is rebuilding Toilet Collapsed Universe as TCU : RE-CODE. Recode is not live yet. Confirmed player-facing rules so far: Astro Polycephaly will be saved via badge, Titan Trio will not be restored, and upgraded titans get compensation instead of a 1:1 carry-over. Unit models will be reworked, so an S-tier partner today may sit lower after launch. Track the rebuild on the Recode update page and avoid dumping every Resource into a titan protocol you will lose.
